Big Mac Bowhunters
The Big Mac Bow Hunters promote the outdoor lifestyle of hunting and target shooting with primitive means. We work to educate the youth of our areas with 4-H Shooting sports and Bow Hunter Education. The club maintains two outdoor archery ranges one at Lake McConaughy and one in Ogallala at the Big Mac Sports Club. They are open to the public 365 days a year. In the spring and summer we host 3D Archery Shoots at the Burma Road Archery Range at Lake McConaughy. There are usually 15-30 shooters adn you can shoot from 20-80 yards. We have over 30 Rinehart targets to shoot at. This is a great way to get outdoors, walk the trail, and practice shooting various life sized targets.
In January and February, we hold indoor archery leagues. The shooters shoot a 5 spot target from 20 yards. The shoot is a good way to keep your archery skills sharp in the off season.
